Trying to flatten the curve of Covid 19, colleges pursue their academics online all across the nation. Its a tough time for students forced to be in their four-walled apartment without meeting their friends and engaging in any outdoor activities. Studies show that students are prone to more anxiety and panic attacks compared to the general population.
American students are adjusting to this new normal with the drop in the third wave. Surveys show that they are feeling much better with the de-shooting of the corona wave.
Maintained a routine
Students created a healthy routine that included meditation and even small things like eating healthy food, having ample water, etc. They set a goal to attend classes and complete course-related work—included small outdoor activities like gardening or walking around the lawn of their home.
Connect with people periodically.
Its easy to feel lonely when you are away from your dear ones. Most American students were in the same phase and started a peer effort to remain connected. They chose methods like mass online binging and further talking about it, which enhanced communication amongst them even in tough times.
Taking talk therapy
Reports suggest that over 48% of students in Los Angeles took talk therapy to get out of emotional distress. Students who dealt with a personal loss of their ones, having post-traumatic stress, or any medical illness talked to therapists. They helped them to develop strategies and plans to improve their behavioral patterns and mental sanity.
