As India is modernizing people are also adapting different styles of lifestyle and they are less concerned about how that lifestyle affects them either physically or mentally. Doesn’t matter if you are from a rural or urban area, every area has been influenced by liquor. Rich to poor everyone has drunk liquor once in their life. And now as the stereotype concept between men and women has vanished it’s needless to say that even women are also influenced by alcohol consumption. The line which comes between the rich and poor category of people is the middle class. They are not as sophisticated as rich people and as impoverished as poor people. They are the category that works to be able to get a good education and food on their table. And this group of the middle class has been severely influenced by the trend of liquor consumption.
PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH LIQUOR CONSUMPTION: Being addicted to something has always made people suffer. And if the addiction is to alcohol then there can be serious concerns associated with it. Strong alcoholic drinks like liquor can have serious impacts on both the mind and body. There have been cases of domestic violence, rape, and killing under the influence of alcohol. There have been serious issues related to this liquor consumption. Liquor Consumption has even led to many deaths and people have also been affected by many deadly diseases due to this liquor consumption.

They don’t even look back before killing someone.
WHY MIDDLE CLASS IS MORE AFFECTED BY LIQUOR The middle-class category of India is getting sandwiched between the upper class and the lowerMiddMiddMiddle-class more burdened than the other two classes. Middle-class people generally work 9 to 5 which often becomes hectic for them. And the people working in corporate are more stressed due to uncertain work timings and variations in payment cycles. So to get relief from the frustration people start taking the help of liquor as they think it helps them to get away from life stress and liquor helps them to forget all the negative things going on in life.
LIQUOR AND THE MIDDLE CLASS
Studies have found that middle-class people have been consuming more liquor than ups. Drink to get over the job-related stress but when they become addicted then serious issues are observed like a distraction in the workspace, performant problems, etc. So the main reason that affects alcohol consumption is stress. And stress can be from various sources like work, family, and life. When people become incapable of cooking with life and the problems associated with it, they start taking drugs and liquor by being least concerned about the impact it can have on the body and mind. Alcohol not only ruins the middle class it won’t be a mistake to say that alcohol even runs the middle class.
HOW THE GOVERNMENT OF INDIA PROMOTES LIQUOR CONSUMPTION
In India, the government somewhere knowingly or unknowingly promotes liquor consumption. And India is becoming so corrupt that all the cases related to the illegal supply of alcohol get suppressed. Liquor is sold by the government in India. License is mandatory for running a liquor shop legally and that license needs to be approved by the government so indirectly the government gives support to the liquor shops by lending them approval. Politicians’ families own the liquor industry in most cases. So, when the people who are a part of the government are promoting the use of alcohol, normal people get more inclined towards it.
HOW TO MAINTAIN A CONTROL OVER THE PURCHASE AND CONSUMPTION OF LIQUOR
Even though there have been laws to keep control over the selling of alcohol, and alcohol abuse somewhere these things are still happening. Government should start taking strict actions against the illegal selling of liquor. It’s quite impossible to eradicate alcohol from the country but keeping an eye on the purchase and consumption of liquor can solve the problems related to alcohol to some extent. People should be made more aware of the damage alcohol can do to their bodies, mind, life, and family.
CONCLUSION
No laws can impact people much until they realize the negative effects of alcohol. A regular drinker makes alcohol a part of his life and later on this life part makes him experience all sorts of health problems, mental problems, and even the peace which needs to be found in a home slowly starts to become a series of domestic violence, harassment, and abuse. So people should keep a check on their consumption of alcohol. It’s easier to change habits when our mind accepts that whatever we are doing is wrong.
