It’s obvious to see a generation gap in kids. There are visible differences in todays and past children. Be it the behavior, talking, smartness, activeness, and interests, things change from time to time. But what we can find different in every child nowadays is the playing habit. Be it a village or city, every child is now surrounded by some of the other electronic gadgets. Which has made them get less involved in outdoor activities. They feel more comfortable at home and refuse to play outdoor games. An increase in the time of using electronic things has some serious problems which need to be controlled as soon as possible.
Let’s take a look at things that children are missing these days:
1. Exercise:
The age of 5 to 15 is more likely to create physical as well as mental changes in children. A child of this age should involve in activities that make him/her do more physical activities. Sitting on a couch and playing with mobile phones includes no exercise. On average, children should at least play for two hours every day. To make this happen, the best way by which parents can help their child is to make sure your child goes outside for playing. Hide and seek, playing with the ball, or even some running and walking around other children will give enough exposure to exercise.
2. Socialization:
The activeness of a child does not only depend on how good he is in studies and how good he scores in exams but also how he talks with others and mix in new people. When the children hate going out and enjoy staying indoor, they will be afraid of making new friends. The more your child will meet new people, the more he/ she can learn from them and participate in the conversation. Real socialization can be learned once you take your child out of the house and meet others regularly.
3. Sunshine:
We often ignore some basic things which actually act as a very important factor in our lives. Everyone should have a good dose of sunshine every day. When children play outside, they get enough exposure to the sun. The vitamin that helps in making a strong immune system and body development is vitamin D. Playing outside in the daytime can boost your child’s mood every day plus helps in maintaining the vitamin D ratio.
4. Risk:
Parents want their children to be safe and keep them indoors. But unless the children are not st free, they will lack confidence and problem-solving ability. To build confidence and daring it is a must to let them go with friends and play them according to their way. Even if he/she gets hurt by playing, it’s not a big deal. Children should also taste failures because then only they will know how to take risks and find success.
